It is common for us to find steps that are not consistent in height. Inconsistent steps around your property can potentially create a trip hazard.
If risers are too large the stairs will be too steep and if the going is too small a person won’t be able to fit their foot on the tread.
Common trip hazards on stairs include uneven stair riser heights, different stair tread widths, ridges in floors or carpets, worn floor coverings or broken tiles, changes in floor level, lack of anti-slip surfaces.
