Meth Inspections

You might be surprised to learn that people using and manufacturing illegal drugs is becoming an increasing problem for homeowners, renters and real estate agents. A property that’s been contaminated can cause all sorts of health problems for you and your family.¹

Our Rapid Building Inspections team can test the property for traces of methamphetamine and, in the event of a positive finding, we’ll provide advice on the next steps you can take to remove the drug residue.

For more information or to book a meth inspection, give one of our team members a call on 1300 407 341

Add-on Meth Testing

More about meth testing and why it’s important:

Our team uses special equipment to test for methamphetamine residue on your property’s walls, carpets, ceilings, insulation, ventilation systems and even things like wiring and plumbing.

Australian guidelines state if contamination levels are 0.5 micrograms per 100 sq cm or more, professional removal or cleaning is required before moving into the property due to health concerns.²

Signs your property might be contaminated by meth

Meth is a white, odourless powder that can easily be dissolved in water or alcohol, which can make it almost undetectable to the naked eye.

But there are some signs you can look out for such as:

  1. Strong odours (acrid, sour, solvents, ammonia)
  2. Discolouration of structures, soil and pavement or driveway
  3. Burned, stained or yellowed walls
  4. Rust in uncommon places such as window fittings or door handles

But the only way to know for sure is with a meth inspection conducted by our team at Rapid. Avoid potential health problems and contact our team today.
